Wildlife for Kids

Environmental Education, in my opinion, is one of the most important areas of environmental conservation work. I have spent the majority of my career working directly with children and adults, helping them to engage with their environment and discover the wonders it has to offer. Hoping, that by doing this I might help to install the need to preserve our amazing natural world.

Children are vital to our future and the future of our planet and for that reason I believe they should be allowed to learn for themselves, the importance of our wildlife and how to help protect it. With modern technology as it is, with multitudes of electronic passtimes, huge scale food industries and the general fear of getting out and about knee deep in dirt, our natural world often gets overlooked by our younger generation. I can personally vouch that even the "coolest" of teenagers will eventually find some kind of pleasure from scrabbling about a pond (even if it is just to outdo their friends in a "who can find the wierdest creature" competition!)

So, if like me, you have kids of your own...or nephews, nieces, grandchildren or just like the idea yourself...get out and explore, there really is no better way to learn!
